Come and see my final performances

As my career as a teacher and playwright for CLHS draws to a close, there are two events to put on your busy calendar before it gets too full. A special invitation is to all alumni in the Fort Wayne area. I would really like to see you again.

The first is “Oh Baby!” (Spring Play) with dates on April 26 at 7:30 PM and April 28 at 2:00 PM. This is my final original play, a pro-life drama. It explores the dilemma Christine finds herself ... pregnant. What to do? The culture says abortion, yet her dad and grandma say keep it or at least give it to a loving Christian couple. Watch for the key scene showing a debate between the school’s Planned Parenthood rep and a pro-life teacher. Note that this play has a most unusual character ... a pre-born baby talking to her mom.

It is strongly recommended that only those of 6th grade on up attend. This play is NOT intended for children. It is also important to know that the Allen County Right To Life members will also be invited to these showings. We are projecting a much larger audience, so come early for the best seats.

The second is “An Evening With Mr. G.” on May 11 at 7:30 PM. I am doing a “One Man Show” for charity. Act I consists of a comedy monologue, hilarious Driver Ed signs in a PowerPoint, two pantomimes, and the songs that have been rewritten with Christian lyrics performed by our very own Praise Band seen in chapel. Act II is something I have made famous over the years. No, it is not spelling C-A-D-E-T-S. It is my rendition of the Wizard of Oz, which I have done for many of my classes at the end of the year. Plan now to attend my farewell performance.

The cost of admission is two items needed by The Hope Center (listed below) OR $5 per person with a $20 family maximum with cash proceeds going to the Answers In Genesis organization to further the outreach of the Truth of Creation to the world. Please be generous to these causes that I hold dear.
