In this season of giving thanks for all that God has blessed us with, I often humm one of my favorite songs, All Good Gifts, from the musical Godspell. The passage below is the second verse of this song:
We thank thee then, O Father, for all things bright and good,
The seedtime and the harvest, our life our health our food,
No gifts have we to offer for all thy love imparts
But that which thou desirest, our humble thankful hearts!
All good gifts around us, Are sent from Heaven above.
So thank the Lord for all His love...
Concordia Lutheran High School has been blessed with a tremendous amount of success in the recent weeks with our Marching Band earning 6th place at the ISSMA State Marching Band Championship, our football team winning their Sectional title, and our Cross Country Girls Team finishing in the top 20 teams, and Boys Cross Country Team winning the IHSAA State Championship. Congratulations to all of our students and directors/coaches who have worked very hard in developing and applying the gifts which God has given them in celebration of His creation.
Last week, Remedy Live presented their Get Schooled Tour assembly to Concordia’s high school students and separately to the middle school students who attend one of our schools in The Lutheran Schools Partnership. This assembly is highly interactive as our students use their digital device in answering polling questions. Below are some of our numbers from the assembly:
Favorite Apps: Instagram 43%, Snapchat 29%
Stressors: School/Homework 30%, The Future 20%
68% of students have mixed feelings about 24/7 technology.
62% of students would tell another person if they had a secret struggle.
Concordia uses the data collected in the assembly to continue shaping our academic and counseling programs to best serve our students and families.
Look Up Indiana is a terrific resource for the support of families and individuals who are seeking information, hope and resources with a variety of mental and behavioral health issues that face today’s youth. Look Up Indiana and RemedyLive’s Get Schooled Tour are supported by The Lutheran Foundation. Thank you!
