On April 28, Concordia hosted “Cadet Day of Caring” to help Concordia students and families impacted by COVID-19 through the loss of employment, income, illness or other means.
The day was primarily an online fundraiser where donations raised went to an Emergency Relief Fund to support the impacted families. The Emergency Relief Fund is providing assistance for tuition, fees, and related Concordia educational expenses for these families during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years.
Our team who put together “Cadet Day of Caring” set a goal of raising $10,000. We felt the goal might be a little high, but we said let’s do it and trust that the Concordia community will come together for such a worthy cause.
And did the Concordia community deliver! We raised close to $24,000. More than double what we expected! Your generosity just left us speechless! We are so grateful for your support. You were able to help 75 families receive assistance thus far.
We thank you for your Christ-like servant stewardship that helps our families during the pandemic. Please click here to see a short video about why people donated.
1 Timothy 6:18-19 states: “Be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming of age.”
That firm foundation is the gospel message of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our teachers continue to spread that message through a Christ-centered education to our students. With your continued monetary support and prayers, this will continue to happen.
Thank you Concordia community!
