Alumni Spotlight: Caleb Goodwin '21

What is your current occupation?
I am a sophomore at Purdue University studying pre-med and Brain and Behavioral Science.

What led you to your current occupation?
Doing volunteer work and an internship at RemedyLIVE, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to helping all people with their mental health needs, led me to pursue a degree centered around helping people with their mental health struggles.

What was your education after Concordia?
Currently I am a sophomore at Purdue University studying pre-med and Brain and Behavioral Science.

What did you love most about CLHS?
I love the Christ-based and servant-based foundation that Concordia establishes. I also love the range of opportunities that it provides for everyone from JROTC, to all types of sports, various leadership positions such as Koinonia Leaders, all the professional activities like career internships, and spectacular fine art programs. Concordia allows for the growth of well-rounded individuals, but most importantly allows students to learn all these things with a Christ-centered and servant foundation which is truly invaluable.

What advice would you pass along to students?
Don’t go through the motions. Take the time to take the step back to understand the beauty and importance of whatever you are doing and experiencing and not just in high school, but in all of life.
