FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Concordia Lutheran High School students, faculty and staff are once again coming together to celebrate the season with the spirit of giving through the Allen County Christmas Bureau.
Each class group has a family — four senior citizens and 26 families in total — for which they are gathering gifts, a Christmas dinner and household items. More than 75 individuals will be impacted by the gift donations this year.
Class groups will wrap gifts starting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5. and will then be delivering them to the gym, “The Cage,” by 8:40 a.m. Students will then load the truck outside.
“It’s always incredible to see how well our Concordia community of staff, students and families care for those that they’ve never met,” said Kyle Jane. “It was encouraging to see the student body, especially the Cadets for Life group, serve people of throughout the spectrum of life as we were able to serve four senior citizens this year in addition to the 26 families.”
Concordia has participated in the Christmas Bureau for more than 45 years.
