Concordia’s FCCLA Students Take Part in Community Outreach Project at Lutheran Life Villages

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Concordia Lutheran High School students who are members of the CLHS chapter of Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) visited Lutheran Life Villages on Friday, December 13th, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. to deliver lap blankets made by fashion design students and snacks and treats made by culinary art students.

“This is our first year offering FCCLA at CLHS and we are thrilled to be partnering with Lutheran Life Villages for our club’s community outreach efforts,” said Chef Michelle Towler, a culinary arts teacher at Concordia. “Students are excited to spread Christmas cheer and share the gifts they have made with the residents.”

The purpose of FCCLA community outreach is to make a positive impact on the community while encouraging students to focus on three key areas: family, career and community. By engaging in community service, FCCLA students and teachers believe they will not only make a difference in the lives of others but also develop themselves as individuals.
