"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." - John 1:14
These beautiful words from John’s Gospel remind us of the miraculous event we celebrate at Christmas: the birth of Jesus, our Savior. God, in His infinite love, chose to step into our broken world humbly—as a baby born in Bethlehem. And just as He came to dwell among His people then, He remains with us now, present and active in all we do here at Concordia Lutheran High School.
Each day, as students open their textbooks, athletes lace up their shoes, and teachers begin their lessons, we are reminded of an incredible truth, God is with us. His presence at the center shapes our mission, our community, and the hearts of everyone who walks through these halls.
We are especially grateful for the grace that Jesus came to provide because we need it daily. We see the truth about ourselves—the sin that so easily entangles us, the ways we fall short, and the ways we fail to love as we should. Yet, in the midst of our shortcomings, we rejoice in the forgiveness and renewal found in Christ. He bore our sin and shame on the cross, and because of His sacrifice, we share in the joy of redemption—a joy that transforms our lives and informs our purpose.
Just as Christ took on human flesh to serve humanity, we at Concordia Lutheran High School strive to follow His example. Our mission is not only to nurture faith but to equip our students to serve their neighbors with love and humility. We prepare our graduates to recognize that their vocations—whether as doctors, teachers, engineers, parents, neighbors, or friends—are powerful opportunities to reflect God’s grace and truth to the world.
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, may we carry His light into the world, sharing the hope, peace, and love that only He can bring. From all of us at Concordia Lutheran High School, we wish you a blessed Christmas filled with the joy of knowing that God is with us.
