I love Lutheran schools! We celebrated Lutheran Schools week at Concordia High School
January 27-31. I love that we get to share Jesus every day. I love that when we have
discussions in class, or when students come to talk about things, that we can direct them to
God’s word for the best advice around!
My husband and I were able to send our five children to Lutheran schools from Kindergarten
through 12th grade (and a couple of them into college as well!), which was a huge blessing both
for us and for our children. Having faculty and staff at the schools they attended who reinforced
the Christian values we were teaching them at home was priceless.
For me, having grown up in towns without a Lutheran grade school or high school, I was thrilled
when I got to Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota. I found myself in a community of
believers that could encourage and support me in my faith as well as my academics. Lutheran
schools are such a blessing!!
I am so thankful each and every day to have the opportunity to teach in a Lutheran school. I am
thankful for the parents who see the value in sending their children here. I am thankful for my
colleagues (and my students!) who share my faith and support and encourage me. I’m thankful
for all of you, who continue to support and pray for our schools. God continues to work through
them each and every day to share the Gospel message!
