CLHS donates 404 boxes of gifts to Christmas Bureau

Dec. 8, 2015

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — 404 boxes of gifts. 4 bikes. 2 skateboards. 2 art sets. 1 Lego table. 1 scooter. And one very special Christmas.

For decades, Concordia Lutheran High School has been gathering and donating gifts to the Christmas Bureau for children in need. This year, 37 families (131 individuals in all) will benefit from the many donations from students, faculty and staff.

“This is our biggest service project of the year,” said Stacey Salisbury, CLHS teacher, who has run the fund drive at the high school for the past 15 years. “We do this as a way to be of service to others and to show God’s love.”

The students spent the morning wrapping and packaging gifts to be delivered to the families. A truck, filled nearly to the brim, was then packed up and taken to the Christmas Bureau.

Christmas cheer was felt by all!
