Welcome to a new school year

Hello Concordia,

Welcome to the 2016-17 school year! May this school year be filled with excitement and blessings as we grow in faith, intellect and community.

Our theme this year is Seeking Knowledge and Wisdom with Christ in the Center, based upon Colossians 1:9-10, “Be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”

Concordia is a community where students and staff walk and work together, with and in Christ. Our teachers are ready for the 800-plus high school students attending Concordia Lutheran High School this school year. Today is New Student Orientation, and tomorrow starts the academic school year, with the Parents Back-to-School the same evening. God’s promise of hope, love and forgiveness is present and will be exercised daily, in this school community. Join us and please pray for our school community.

An exciting and long-lasting component of Concordia’s community is the vital role that co-curricular activities provide in the development and experience of the student’s school life. Concordia greatly appreciates the many hours of service and work our coaches and directors have given during the summer and upcoming months to our students in preparation for the upcoming fall season of sports, fine arts and the many additional events Concordia has planned from August to November.

Go Concordia!
