Did you know that there are approximately 250 times in the Bible where we read declarative statements or commands to praise God? Here at Concordia the doxology is often used at Chapel, band warm-ups and choir closings in addition to other events that demonstrate our praise and thanksgiving to our great Creator. Praising God is not a warm fuzzy feeling. Praising God is a conscious activity. Our daily lives are to reflect Christ while giving Him all praise, glory and honor.
In life it is very easy to take things for granted. With the holiday season upon us, we are able to take a step back and be amazed at how the Lord is at work and to thank Him for his many blessings. Sure, we all have struggles, pain and adverse situations we are constantly battling, but praise him for winning the ultimate battle!
On November 29, the nation celebrates Giving Tuesday. What an awesome way to demonstrate giving and thankfulness. Our Concordia family is so blessed because it has faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and grandparents that truly care about the overall well being of the students and providing that Christ-centered education and experience. I encourage you to consider contributing to the Concordia family this Giving Tuesday. Praise the Lord, give thanks to the Lord and bless others!!
