Congrats to the Class of 2017

Congrats to the Class of 2017! We have 201 members in the senior class this year. They will honored during graduation at 1 p.m. May 28 at the Historic Embassy Theatre in downtown Fort Wayne. The featured speaker is the Rev. Jonathan Nack. Click here for information about graduation and end-of-the-year activities for seniors.

The members of the Class of 2017 have accomplished so much in their time here, and will continue to impact their world for Christ after graduation. Here is a compilation of their time at Concordia and their plans for next year. Please Note: We are still gathering information from our seniors. Please check back over the next week for updates. Valedictorian

Miss Hannah Martin, daughter of John and Sarah Martin, plans to attend Vassar College to study chemistry and Spanish. She attends Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne and graduated from Emmanuel-St. Michael grade school. For the last four years, she has been a member of the the cross country and track teams, the secretary for the National Honor Society, a Koinonia Leader, and a Concordia Scholar. She is a founding member of the CLHS Euchre Club. At the Senior Honors Evening, we she was recognized with the English and Science department awards as well as the Spanish Award. She is a National Merit Commended student, and will receive an Academic Honors Diploma.

Salutatorian

Mr. Derek Egolf, son of Rena Greener and Douglas Egolf, plans to attend Tufts University and study computer science and economics. He attends Holy Cross Lutheran Church and was a graduate of Holy Cross grade school. He is a four-year member of the JROTC battalion where he participated in Color Guard, Drill Team, and the Academic Team, which took fourth at nationals in 2015. He was Battalion Commander during his senior year. He was recognized with the Math department award at Senior Honors Evening. He is a Questbridge Scholar. He is a member of the National Honor Society and will be receiving an Academic Honors Diploma.
