"Choices," this year's Spring Play, was written and directed in a decidedly different way from my plays of past years. It wrestles with the question, "Can a believer lose his/her faith?"
Jane and Charlotte have been close friends all during grade school. Charlotte began sliding away from Jesus and other shared values that Jane holds dear during the middle of 7th grade. Jane is currently a sophomore at a Lutheran high school very similar to Concordia. Jane fears that Charlotte, now a professed atheist, will not end up in heaven and decides to do something about it ... but what to do?
If one is familiar with Christian author Frank Peretti novels, you will see his influence on my script. Both Jesus and Satan have roles to play in this production.
Plan now to attend this production which will enhance your walk with Jesus. Play dates and times are Friday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. Plan to bring a friend who does not know Jesus. This play will be a discussion starter!
P.S. Please note that because of content this play is more suited for students in junior high and older.
