DECA students earn honors at state

The CLHS DECA students took top honors at the DECA State Competition in Indianapolis recently. About 1,900 Indiana students gathered to compete in business, finance, management and marketing testing and role play events.

  • Junior Paige Falkenstern placed 5th in the state for Principles of Marketing.
  • Senior Justin Ehlers placed 6th in the state for Entrepreneurship.
  • Seniors Carmen Trier and Eli Allen placed in the Top 10 for Marketing Management Team Event.
  • Senior Sa'Mya Jordan was a medallion recipient for meeting competency in Marketing Communications.
  • Senior RJ Anderson competed in Business Finance.
  • Senior Emma Harmeyer competed in Hospitality Professional Sales.
  • Juniors Natalie Hazelet and Jessica Green competed in Travel and Tourism Team Event.

Junior Paige Falkenstern has also advanced to the International Competition and Development Conference in Atlanta, Ga., on April 21-24.
