Two members named to CLHS school board

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Concordia Lutheran High School has named two new members to its Board of Directors beginning in the 2018-19 school year. They will both serve three-year terms.

Tom Ackmann has worked in field of benefits consulting for more than 20 years, and currently serves as the vice president of SYM Financial Advisors where he is responsible for the firm’s qualified plan offering. He is on the board at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo and has served his church, St. Michael Lutheran, in numerous positions over the years. He is a CLHS parent of two daughters, Baylee, Class of 2020, and Reganne, Class of 2022.

Abigail “Abi” Butler is a partner at Faegre Baker Daniels and serves as the office leader of the Fort Wayne office. In her position, she concentrates her practice in intellectual property and product liability litigation, representing product manufacturers and sellers in state and federal courts across the country. She belongs to the Allen County Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, American Bar Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. She is a member at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, and is a CLHS parent of one daughter, Lauren, Class of 2021, and two future Cadets, Alexis and Will, both attending Concordia Elementary.

Also, two board members renewed their three-year terms, Barry Marquart, property manager of Citizens Square, and John Stafford, retired from urban planning and economic development.
