CONGRATULATIONS to all of our 2018 graduates and our incoming students (2022 graduates!).
Throughout the year, I have heard many things including, “I should just quit!” or “I just need to change schools!” or “I’ll never get through!” and “It’s too hard!” I always tell them to take breaks, pray and then believe. I know it hasn’t been easy. There were a lot of “bumps” to get through, whether they were in English, algebra, geometry or science.
In the final stretch, though, I began to hear things like, “I’m actually going to make it through!”, “I’ve got this!” and “You know, I really am going to miss this place!” The road had smoothed out, and I had the opportunity to see the sense of accomplishment and pride individual graduates had developed.
Life, like high school, is going to have difficult moments. It may be a college professor who is unfair or the loss of a job. Always remember, God is there with you. He really does provide and open another door or even a window!
I never saw myself teaching in a high school. I saw myself teaching younger students. It took the bumps for God to show me where I was supposed to be. Now, I can’t imagine missing the transformation students make between their freshman and senior years! Your bumps will lead you as well! Listen to God, seek Him and know He really does have plans for you to prosper.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 ~ “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”
