Pastor to highlight February Alumni Mentor Program

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Rev. Matthew Wietfeldt, Director of Admission and Christ Academy, Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW), will be the featured speaker for the February Alumni Mentor program on Feb. 19.

Wietfeldt, 2003 Concordia Lutheran High School graduate, received his bachelor’s degree from Concordia University-Chicago in theology. Following that, he continued his studies at the Seminary. Upon graduating from the seminary, he was called to serve at Trinity Lutheran Church and Trinity-St. John Lutheran School in Nashville, Ill. (Southern Illinois) as their Associate Pastor and Principal, where he served for just over four years. Today, he is back at the Seminary.

His mains responsibilities include the overall organization of the Admission Department, the coordination of all on-campus Admission Department activities and the execution of all campus visits and events.  

The highlight of his role is serving as the Director of the Christ Academy (CA). CA’s anchor programs are their two-week long Summer Academy for high school aged boys interest in becoming pastor and girls interested in becoming deaconesses.
