The definition of tradition is “the handing down of information, beliefs, and customs by word of mouth or by example from one generation to another without written instruction.” At Concordia Lutheran High School, tradition is all around us. It resides in the hallways, in athletics, in the classroom and within our mission to put Christ at the Center of all that we do!

Yearbook is probably one of the most unique classes at the high school. Few, if any, classes have a yearlong project where students depend on each other on a daily basis and adhere to strict deadlines. If anyone doesn’t do their part, the whole suffers.

After 18 years of dedicated service to Concordia Lutheran High School, Dean Doerffler will retire at the end of this year.

Is your team still in? Do you have plans to watch the next round(s) of the tournament? Do you have visions of gaining those all-important “bragging rights” in your place of work … or at home? Or is that just me?

On March 18, 13 JROTC units will battle to be the champion of the 46th Annual Homer L. Clendenen Memorial Drill Meet. Doors open at 8 a.m. at the IPFW Hillard Gates Sports Center for spectators to witness the precision and pageantry of these units.

The Concordia Lutheran High School DECA Chapter formed in October 2013. I serve as the adviser in addition to teaching accounting, business management, marketing and directing the career internship program.

Our CLHS Family and Consumer Science teacher, Mrs. Stacey Salisbury, led faculty/staff devotions on Friday. She shared her thoughts on the changes we are experiencing and how our only constant is our Savior.

On March 15, Concordia Lutheran High School will welcome Tiffini Grimes, 2001 graduate, and the assistant athletic director for football and men’s basketball at the University of Alabama for its monthly Alumni Mentor Program. The goal of the program is to introduce students to various careers paths through alumni connections.
