The Role and Function of the Full-Time Study Center Education Assistant
The role of the Study Center Education Assistant is to work in conjunction with all members of this ministry for the purpose of accomplishing this ministry as follows:

Summary of Position: The Study Center Education Assistant provides academic coaching and tutoring support to students in the school's study center. This role assists students across all subject areas in strengthening their understanding of course content, assignments, and developing effective study skills aligned with the school's Christian values and educational mission.
The Positional Requirements
Education: High school diploma; Some college preferred
Experience: One to three years demonstrated experience working with young adults (14-18) preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Must be flexible, and organized, display a willingness to learn, enjoy working with teenagers, and display attributes of a team player. The ability to multi-task is important. This person will be taking attendance, helping students with organization, homework, and studying as well as assisting with organizing multiple tests per class period and helping with other tasks as needed.
The Study Center Education Assistant is accountable to the Director of the Study Center for helping each student prepare for post high school education, Christian vocation and the Mission of Concordia Lutheran High School.
Salary and Benefits
This position is an hourly rate that is determined by the Board of Directors on an annual basis.
Term of Service
The Study Center Education Assistant's offer of employment shall be for the 2025-2026 school year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with students to help with organization, homework, and studying
- Keep confidentiality
- Communicate with faculty, parents, and students as needed.
- Take attendance each hour.
- Keep precise paperwork using a spreadsheet
- Assist with organizing and monitoring tests
Positional Responsibilities
- Focus and assist on student learning to help prepare students for post-high school education, Christian vocation, lifelong learning, and service as disciples of Jesus Christ.
- Stay current in educational content and methodology through a coordinated professional development program utilizing the professional learning community model.
- Make spiritual growth for self and students a priority and a regular part of each day.
- Participate collaboratively in faculty, department, and professional learning community meetings and activities.
- Communicate with students and parents regularly about student achievement.
- Ensure that personal professional goals are established and completed each year.
- Undertake additional duties that may reasonably be assigned or requested by the Supervisor.
