Biography
Katie Underwood joined the faculty in fall 2021 as an art teacher. She is a Fort Wayne native. She graduated from Homestead High School. She worked at Parkview Hospital for 10.5 years after getting her associate degree in Office Administration. As she said, "I have ALWAYS been an artist and decided in 2016 to follow my heart and go back to school." She received her bachelor's degree in Art Education from Purdue FW this past spring (2021).
She and her husband, Nic, have a son and 2 dogs. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family, baking, gardening, almost anything outside-hiking, canoeing, swimming, going to garage sales, volunteering at our home church The Chapel, and relaxing whenever possible.
