Biography
The Rev. Chad Hoover was called to Concordia Lutheran High School in 2014. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education with a concentration in speech and theatre from Concordia University Chicago in 1998. He taught third grade from 1998-2000 at Seymour Elementary School in Payson, IL, before receiving his M.Div. from Concordia Theological Seminary in 2004.
Pastor Hoover was called as Assistant Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church & School in Traverse City, MI from 2004-2009 and as Pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church & Preschool in Kalkaska, MI, from 2009-2014. He is the author of Lutheran Spirituality: Vocation, one of seven adult Bible studies in the Lutheran Spirituality series through Concordia Publishing House.
Pastor Hoover has been married to his wife Andrea since 1998. They have been blessed with four children, three of whom are now alumni of Concordia, and one current Cadet. They attend Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven, where Pastor Hoover serves as an assistant pastor.
