Biography

Mr. LaCroix began teaching at Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1987, teaching at various times in the Choral Music, German, Humanities, and Religion areas. Since 1998, LaCroix has taught all levels of German at CLHS. He is also the coordinator of the CLHS German exchange program (GAPP) working with the Zeppelin Gymnasium in Lüdenscheid, Germany every year to either host visiting students from Germany or to travel with CLHS students to Germany.

At CLHS he is also the advisor for the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society. For 18 years LaCroix served as Director of Choral Music at CLHS leading the A Cappella Choir on their annual tours, with destinations including New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Toronto, Chicago, and St. Louis; and leading them to a dozen trips to the ISSMA Choir State Finals Competition.

Mr. LaCroix is a Minnesota native with a B.A. degree from Concordia University-Chicago (majors in Music and German), and a MMus degree (major: Choral Conducting) from Ball State University. Before living in Fort Wayne, he also taught in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He currently also serves as a church musician and choral clinician. He and his wife enjoy home improvement projects and international travel. They have three adult daughters.
