Choral Music

A Cappella

Concordia's A Cappella Choir is an auditioned choir open to 10-12 graders created with the purpose of spreading the word of God in song while performing both sacred and secular works. The A Cappella choir has repeatedly been named one of premiere high school choirs in the state of Indiana according to the Indiana State School Music Association standards. Recent performances and tours have taken the choir to New York, Georgia, Illinois, Nebraska, and Missouri.

Chamber Choir

The Concordia Chamber Choir is a 16-voice select ensemble that performs classical chamber music and vocal jazz repertoire. Its members are selected from the A Cappella Choir. The Chamber Choir, or Maroon Standard, has made appearances at the ISSMA Jazz State Finals for the last 9 years, every year since the creation of the event, being named State Champions in 2022.

Mixed Chorus

Mixed Chorus is a non-auditioned SATB choir open to students in grades 9-12 designed specifically with the beginner in mind. Through Mixed Chorus students develop musicianship and specific performance skills through ensemble and solo singing preparing them for A Cappella. Mixed Chorus performs at area churches and ISSMA organizational events.
