Setting Up Your Device
NOTE: Before continuing it might be easier to view this tutorial on a separate device so you can follow along on the device you will use at Concordia.
First things first:
- Ensure you have turned your device on, can log in to it, and have created any required accounts such as a Microsoft Account or AppleID
- Know your device login credentials!!!
- Ensure you have account permissions to install applications at school
- Run all system updates
- Download and install Google Chrome
- If you are really feeling adventurous, download and install Google Drive
Get ready for Concordia with a school username and email address!
CLHS Username: The last 2 of graduation year + first initial + last name (NO spaces, hyphens or apostrophes)
- Example: If Sarah Smith-Jones graduates in 2028 her CLHS username would be 28ssmithjones
CLHS Email: Your CLHS username + @clhscadets.com
- Example: Since Sarah Smith-Jones's CLHS username is 28ssmithjones, her CLHS email address would be [email protected]
Be sure you understand your Cadets username and email address are not the same thing and sometimes you will need to login with your username and other times your full email address
The default password for new account logins is:
cadets1234
Name your device and get its MAC address:
If your device is ever misplaced needing to be located on our network you should prepare it by doing the following:
- Name it! Since 28ssmithjones is how Sarah identifies herself among all the other student logins, it is a good idea to use that for her computer name.

Mac users click here - Get your device's MAC address. Please note this address, keep it someplace accessible (not on your device), hope you never need it, and sleep soundly knowing you have it.

Once you get to Concordia, go to your WiFi settings and select the cadets network
