Indiana State Representative to speak at Concordia’s November Alumni Mentor Program Concordia Lutheran High School’s alumni mentor program on Nov. 19 will feature Dave Heine is an Indiana State Representative of District 85 which includes the communities of New Haven, Leo/Cedarville, Woodburn, Grabill and Harlan. He is currently serving on Ways and Means, Financial Institutions and Agricultural Committees. Heine is parent of alumni.
Sepak Takraw: A New Challenge for Physical Education Classes Each year in Boys Physical Education I introduce students to “non-traditional” sports in an effort to expand their skill set and expose them to something new. I enjoy teaching units like this because the students usually start on a similar skill level. This means that we spend a lot of time on skill acquisition so we can play quality competitive games.

Many hands make light work Most of us have heard the saying “Many hands make light work.” As a parent and employee of CLHS, I’ve had the opportunity to experience this firsthand. A few specific instances come to mind when I hear this saying.
Changes to our financial aid this year It is hard to believe we are almost at the end of October and have started taking applications for 2019-2020. If your family has an incoming student, please make sure to complete the Excel Scholarship, Tuition Scholarship and Band Scholarship applications before December 14.
Sources of Strength On October 15 and 16, 40 student peer leaders and 12 adult advisors took part in training for Sources of Strength. Sources of Strength vision statement reads: “We believe that many strengths are more powerful than one, and our united goal is to activate and mobilize these strengths in ways that positively change individuals and communities.”
