Concordia Lutheran High School students in the Spanish department prepare for an inaugural celebration of Las Posadas. Four hundred students in grades 9-12 have been working for over a month to plan the event scheduled for Dec 7. Students will gather Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. in the Cadet Cafe at the high school.

For decades, Concordia Lutheran High School has been gathering and donating gifts to the Christmas Bureau for children in need. This year, 32 families (144 individuals in all) will benefit from the many donations from students, faculty and staff.

In January, we will remember the 1967 and 2002 team for what they achieved on the gridiron. That is a good thing. Even 49 years later, we honor those who did something special and are not forgotten in time.

The Mad Ants will honor the Class 3A state football champion Concordia Cadets at this Saturday’s home game against the Windy City Bulls. The game begins at 7 p.m.

It’s a great reminder during the hustle and bustle of the season. I need to be still and remember that during everything else that I have going on I am still a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend and a child of Jesus Christ.

Ring in the holiday season with Concordia Lutheran High School’s annual Christmas at the Embassy at 4 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Historic Embassy Theatre.

On November 29, the nation celebrates Giving Tuesday. What an awesome way to demonstrate giving and thankfulness. Our Concordia family is so blessed because it has faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and grandparents that truly care about the overall well being of the students and providing that Christ-centered education and experience. I encourage you to consider contributing to the Concordia family this Giving Tuesday. Praise the Lord, give thanks to the Lord and bless others!!
