It’s that time of year to make sure you have completed what you need to for financial aid for the 2023-2024 school year.

Caitlin McGaffick, a graduate from the Class of 2019, is working as a nursing intern at an integrative health clinic in Lafayette, Ind. This past summer, she took a 6,000-mile solo trip to Oregon this summer. Read more about her story in this month's Alumni Spotlight.

Concordia Lutheran High School’s DECA Chapter has five students who have qualified for International Career and Development Conference/Competition in Orlando, Fla., from April 21 to 26, 2023. The top four placements in each event advance to International DECA Competition.

Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are his (God’s) workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” I posed this consideration to my students last week as I will share it with you now: What great comfort is there in this verse, and what a great calling!

Kyle Jane, a Chemistry and Engineering Teacher, uses his class to explore the basic chemical make-up of our universe. "Teaching at CLHS is special in several ways, most notably in the tight knit community experienced by both staff and students. Burton Hill, a graduate from the Class of 1978, is the Senior Vice President and Head of the Center of Excellence Shared Services Warner Music Group. In his career, he says that being in the right place at the right time to solve problems has helped him grow in leadership.

Ok, so that’s purposefully a clickbait title that could head some conspiracy book or YouTube video. Yet, I’m fairly serious at the same time. Let me explain.

Keontré Hughes, a 2017 CLHS graduate, is currently a Dual PhD student (Physics and Quantitative Biology with a concentration in molecular biophysics) at Michigan State University. He earned a full-ride track scholarship to Colgate upon graduating from Concordia, and was a member of the 2016 state football championship team.
